Upcycled Rainbow Plaid Top

This top started out as a men’s button-down shirt. Reworked into a breezy, gathered blouse, the bold plaid is now a fun, wearable piece with plenty of color.

The wide scoop neckline is finished with a contrast blue piping, and the gathered yoke gives the top an easy, flowy shape. Short flutter sleeves add a little softness, and the shirt’s original button placket and buttons run down the center front, so it still buttons up like the shirt it came from.

Wear it with jeans, a denim skirt, or high-waisted shorts for a colorful warm-weather look, or layer it under a cardigan or jacket when it cools off.
